The Office of the Vice President for Government and Community Relations is the Institute's primary connection to the federal, state, and local governments and communities. Through active advocacy and relationship-building, Government and Community Relations staff members work to exhibit the opportunity of Georgia Tech and build esteem for the Institute in order to achieve its goals of progress and service for all that it touches.

Georgia Tech President G.P. “Bud” Peterson began his sixth annual tour of the state of Georgia today.
The month of July marked a new chapter for the 142 year-old Atlanta Public Schools (APS) as it welcomed Dr. Meria Carstarphen as its nineteenth superintendent. The Institute is committed to redefining its relationship with the schools in its own backyard.
